Overcoming my Trauma
The story is about a person named Charlotte who experienced mental abuse as a child. At the age of ten, she had to talk to Child Protective Services and the police about her father’s actions. She also faced bullying at school. Charlotte became depressed and hid her pain from others. Eventually, she reached a breaking point and hurt herself. Her mother, who had also been abused by Charlotte’s father, noticed her scars and encouraged her to open up. Charlotte shared her struggles and began to receive help. Now, at fifteen years old, she is in therapy, has supportive friends, and considers herself a survivor. She has learned the importance of not keeping emotions bottled up and believes that things will improve with persistence and positivity.
